online esl/ssl tutoring
I belong to this bi-national intercollegiate group called the Border Colleges Consortium. I am a student ambassador to the org. and attend conferences throughout AZ and MEXICO. at the last meeting, several students expressed interest in starting an interactive website for English as a Second Language and Spanish as a Second Language tutoring. That way, students of both heritages can simultaneously use their own language skills to assist others, as well as gain proficiency in a second language. INCREASING bilingualism, multinational interaction, friendships, knowledge, understanding. Good stuff. I will keep y'all posted with the progress, and if anyone knows of a Linux-ish alternative to Myspace or some kind of group-hosting software (free is good) that is non-coalition corporate, please let me know.
Hey Ange! Love it. How’d you like to be one of the first to use our new group tech tools?!? (we call em “pods” and they’re going live this week. :)
